16-0... Can the Patriots do it?

Last night I arrived back in Chicago from my holiday vacation. It was great to be back in MA, and be surrounded by family, friends, and the hoopla of the New England Patriots going 16-0 against the N.Y Giants tonight.

I will be the first to say in here in print, I don't care for Eli Manning. He should take some lessons from Peyton and step up to the plate and leave the negative body language at home. I have never been a fan of him. He is immature and not a good QB. As for the rest of the Giants, they have squeaked by this season and I am guessing that they won't make it out of the first round of the playoffs. They only way that will happen is if the Giants that play well make it to the field. Other than that, no chance.

The Patriots are armed and dangerous. Bradly, Welker, Moss, Gaffney, Stallworth, and the list goes on...Tonight with the spread being Patriots (-14) I will still take the Patriots on the road against a team that has nothing to play for and more than likely won't show up anyways.

Today's Sports Beat will be back on the air on it's regular time Tuesday at 10:30 EST on www.talkshoe.com.

Go Pats!

Out of the Blue and into the Black...

Today we saw one streak go on and one streak look like it was going to continue. It was a fine day for both teams, New England and Miami.

The Patriots playing in less than favorable conditions managed to get by the Jets to remain unbeaten and go to 14-0 with a 20-10 victory.

The Dolphins season was made today when going into overtime tied at 16, Matt Stover missed a winning field goal for the Ravens. Miami comes back and scores a TD on a Cleo Lemon pass to Greg Camarillo down the middle for 64 yard gain and a score. Miami no longer with the full black eye with a record of 1-13. Miami wins 22-16

As a reminder, I will be on vacation from the 18th-28 in Boston and I will try to get a few posts in while I am back East visiting family. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

Show delay and some important dates for listeners

Hello everybody...I hope that you are gearing up for a furious sports/holiday season. The NCAA Men's and Women's Basketball seasons are in full swing now. We'll see more NFL action filled weekends with some divisions going down to the last few weekends for playoff spots. In the NBA, all you have to say is Celtics and Orlando. What has Ottawa done to shrink the lead in the Eastern Conference /Northeast division of the NHL?

I will have my weekend coverage today (Saturday) and for everyone that downloads the show from Itunes, if you aren't getting the latest episodes-head to Itunes and make sure you are up to date. I am having some issues with the feed from Talkshow to Itunes. I just wanted to make sure you are up to date. Look for a new show today HERE.

As for future scheduling changes, I will be traveling back to Boston for the holidays and my show falls on Tuesdays. That is the same day that I travel. I may be able to keep the 18th date, but Xmas is out, and so is New Years. As for the Friday updates, I will do my best to get you the info that is on my mind and my weekend picks. For those of you that listen to my other show "Sound Check..." please look for my next Wed @ 11:30 p.m. EST on the 12th and then back again on Jan 8th/2008.

In addition, I would like to start posting pictures that listeners and readers take at local sporting events here on the Today's Sports Beat... If you have a picture that you have taken at a NBA, NFL, NHL, or MLB event please forward a copy to me via email ( todayssportsbeat@gmail.com ) and I will post it here on the site.

Take care,

Chris K
